My TC
Journey
As born & raised Boise natives, my husband Shawn and I checked all the boxes for the "American Dream."
Then in 2018, we sold everything and moved to Singapore! As a middle school English teacher for more than 20 years, I enjoyed teaching abroad and learning about other cultures. As a result of COVID, we returned home in 2021 and I decided to try my hand at real estate.
I got my license from the Idaho Real Estate School, but ended up working for Mike Gamblin developing cloud-based systems for the school. I trained him and the staff in order to streamline and automatize their enrollment procedures.
Upon completing the project with Mr. Gamblin, I worked for a team as their Transaction Coordinator. I quickly discovered that being a TC was a lot like grading papers- something I was quite adept at doing. My time with the team allowed me to have extensive experience with all kinds of transactions, including builders. I appreciate my time there, but as the market shifted, there wasn't a need for an in-house TC. This was the perfect opportunity for me to develop my own business.
In addition to being very organized, I am also quite "techy" as a Certified Google Educator. There are only 3 of us in the state of Idaho, and less than 2,000 world-wide. To see my Google Profile, click here.
For me, the Transaction Coordinator role is like a game. I like the sorting items into their appropriate placeholders and files. I work hard to make things correct. I color coordinate and use emojis to make things easy to locate. I also enjoy the relationships I develop with agents, either as a supportive coach or a devoted assistant.
While Boise will always be my home, I am also drawn to the remote TC role as it will allow my husband and me to travel or relocate when our son graduates high school next year.
